What this build is good for

This PC build is intended for light gaming and everyday tasks using an integrated graphics processor. However, it currently contains a critical incompatibility: the listed SO-DIMM RAM is for laptops and will not fit the desktop motherboard. You must replace this with standard 288-pin DDR4 UDIMM modules. Additionally, the case is relatively compact, limiting future GPU upgrades to 255mm in length. The power supply is an older, non-modular model that remains functional but lacks modern convenience features. With the correct desktop-standard memory, this build will serve well for general productivity and entry-level gaming.

What still needs confirmation
  • RAM form factor incompatibility
  • GPU length restriction (255mm)
  • Non-modular PSU cable clutter

Useful next steps

high priority

Replace RAM form factor

The current SO-DIMM (laptop) RAM is physically incompatible with the MSI B550M-A PRO motherboard's 288-pin DIMM slots. Purchase DDR4 desktop UDIMM modules instead.

medium priority

Verify BIOS compatibility

Ensure the motherboard BIOS is updated to support the Ryzen 5000-series G-series/GT-series processors; this may require a compatible older CPU if the board was manufactured early.

low priority

Evaluate power supply

The Corsair GS800 is an older, non-modular unit. While functional, a modern, modular, or higher-efficiency PSU would improve cable management and overall build quality.
