What this build is good for
This high-end PC build centers on the gaming-focused AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and the enthusiast-class NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080. Supported by a modern Gigabyte B850 motherboard and an ATX 3.1-compliant Corsair RM1000x Shift PSU, the system is well-equipped for demanding 4K gaming and intensive creative tasks. The build features high-speed 64GB DDR5 memory and a 360mm AIO cooler, ensuring stability and performance. The primary consideration for improvement is the storage choice; the included Samsung 970 EVO is a legacy PCIe 3.0 drive that does not leverage the motherboard's PCIe 5.0 or 4.0 M.2 capabilities. Upgrading to a current-generation PCIe 4.0 or 5.0 NVMe SSD would better align with the system's overall performance tier and longevity.
- The Samsung 970 EVO drive will limit storage throughput to PCIe 3.0 speeds.
- Specific chassis compatibility for the 'Shift' side-mount PSU and 360mm AIO must be verified by the user.

Upgrade Storage
The Samsung 970 EVO is a PCIe 3.0 drive. Consider a high-speed PCIe 4.0 or 5.0 NVMe SSD to fully utilize the motherboard's M.2 slots and improve file transfer speeds.
Verify Case Clearance
Ensure the chassis supports the 360mm radiator for the Arctic Liquid Freezer III and accommodates the side-mounted cable orientation of the Corsair RM1000x Shift.
